Quotation Specialist / Estimator

We are one of the largest independent contractors of Plumbing and HVAC services in Alberta and have been in the industry for more than 65 years.

We are currently in need of a quotation specialist / estimator in our water/plumbing division who will work in-office at our facility in Calgary, Alberta.

WHAT’s the job about?

• This role will work with various stakeholders in identifying construction costs of the division’s various contracts by analyzing labor, materials, and time requirements for New Construction of homes.
• This role will work with different computer software / programs needed in budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing data as well as using websites of builders to generate information on the project requirements.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task is imperative to be successful.
• Researching current information from both Builder, Wholesaler and Vendor websites will be a daily activity, as well as professional communication skills to facilitate a cohesive working relationship with counterparts throughout the industry.
• The position is part of a team and as such, relies heavily on supporting the groups success with timely and open communication.
• Your confidence to contribute to daily workloads and share information will ensure a gratifying work environment.

WHAT do you need to have?

• Proficiency in estimation software and tools
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Knowledge of construction materials and processes
• Experience in the construction industry is a plus
• Certification in estimation or related field is beneficial
• High level of written and spoken English is requirement.
