About the Company:

We are currently seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our programs team.

As the Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining professional relationships with insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills, and be a people-person who thrives in a team environment.

Hours: Monday to Friday; either 8:30AM to 4:30PM OR 9:00AM to 5:00PM

Your Tasks:

  • Provide clients with day-to-day service and responding to client needs in an organized and timely manner
  • Manage client renewals, follow-up on new leads, endorsements, retention, cancellations, policy changes, etc.
  • Negotiate and lock in coverage with insurance companies for new business accounts as well as renewals
  • Prepare quotes with MGA agreements
  • File claims reports and conduct necessary follow-ups
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and insurance companies for new business and retention
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required

We Require:

  • Minimum 1 year of commercial insurance experience
  • Must have a valid RIBO license or must be willing to pursue RIBO designation within 3 months
  • CIP, FCIP, or CAIB designation an asset
  • Prior experience with Applied Epic an asset
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to multi-task and prioritize client needs
