About the Company:

We are a leading retailer of luxury bath tubs and fixtures including, furniture, vanities, tiles and mosaics. We have showrooms across the GTA and we are currently seeking a Purchaser / Inventory Analyst for our location in Etobicoke, Ontario.

As the Purchaser / Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for the procurement of plumbing fixtures for our retail stores. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, organizational and communication skills, and be a people-person who thrives in a team environment.

Your Tasks:

  • Monitor inventory levels based on demand
  • Ensure product and vendor details are updated in the system, including product availability, pricing, and tax codes
  • Create and process purchase orders and send to vendors for fulfillment
  • Order tracking and follow-up to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure that pricing and quantities are accurate on the purchase orders; strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required
  • Communicate any issues with products with the affected store locations; such as; price increases, product availability, or delivery delays
  • Contact vendors regarding any damaged or missing goods
  • Ensure purchase orders are received as ordered and submit to accounting team when complete
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as; sales, shipping/receiving, and accounting
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

We Require:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a purchasing role
  • Must have experience with inventory re-order reports and auto replenishment systems
  • Must have experience resolving inventory variances and cycle counts
  • Prior experience in a customer service role is an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills; able to multi-task
  • Self-starter who is able to work well with minimal supervision
  • Problem-solver with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to work until 8 pm sometimes
