Copywriter and Content Developer

Mitrex, an Integrated solar and construction solution provider, is looking for an experienced, full-time copywriter to create content for social media posts, collateral, videos, and other writing requirements for our new, groundbreaking integrated solar energy system. We are looking for someone with 3+ years of writing experience in technology and/or solar energy.

We are Mitrex Inc., a purpose-based developer and manufacturer of Integrated Photovoltaic Systems (such as BIPV) for buildings and large structures (Mitrex.com). As the world's first manufacturer to develop customizable "solar" solutions that are price-competitive with traditional cladding panels, we are on the verge of revolutionizing the industry... while helping to move the world toward clean, sustainable energy production.

Competencies

- 3+ years of progressive experience building social media communities in the B2B space

- Exceptional communication skills and creativity both verbally and written

- Outstanding organization, planning and execution skills.

 

Responsibilities

- Copywriting and content development for social media, collateral, videos, and other requirements

- Establish and manage corporate social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Facebook),

- Liaise with Business Development, Sales, and Graphic Design teams to coordinate, lead, and increase engagement, follower base, and notoriety

- Create and manage the editorial calendar for advance approval, from conceptualization to content development to ultimately posting content

- Create and oversee the creation of shareable content (including written, images, and short video content) and

- Keeping track of performance analytics and KPIs

- Contribute to the development of online marketing strategies through the experimentation and testing of different ways to increase engagement and brand awareness

- Learn the Mitrex corporate target markets, cultural targets, mission, brand voice and brand image, and how they conform to specific needs of each social media platforms while demonstrating awareness of all social media dos and don’ts

- Assist in managing, responding to, and collecting comments, customer inquiries, and sales leads, to foster positive online engagement

- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a high standard of content that encourages engagement and brand awareness

- Analyze and research ad and social channel options, quantify effectiveness, and weigh benefits

- Create and coordinate social media campaigns

  • Bi-monthly/monthly campaigns with all posts in featured themes (colour themes, subject themes, picture themes, events…)
  • Research the most effective hashtags specific to each campaign
  • Effectively use Google, Facebook, Twitter PPC ads (etc.) in tandem with campaigns
  • Track campaign effectiveness: clicks, views, impressions, follower conversions, and engagement
  • Structure future campaigns based on past campaign effectiveness

- Manage all aspects of the Mitrex.com website and blog
